Is this different than your Parent Educator Certification Training?

My Parent Educator Program offers a two-tiered licensing program to meet the needs of professionals and parent advocates. Everyone trains as a licensed instructor before joining a Certification Group.

How It Works
Tier 1: The Parenting Class Instructor Training is a complete conscious parenting program and curriculum for educators to offer parenting classes.

Tier 2: After you complete the Tier 1 Instructor training, depending on interest and professional experience, participants can remain as Licensed Instructors using the materials to teach OR pursue Tier 2 certification for Educators & Trainers after at least six months of facilitating classes.

This low-stress, flexible program allows you to start helping parents without worrying about being an "expert." Registration includes access to the courses, instructor materials, and a three-year renewable license to facilitate the content in private or group sessions for up to 250 people per year (unlimited sessions for nonprofit). Extended licenses available. Renewal fees ($97-$197) include access to recorded calls, meetings, and updated lesson plans and teaching materials.

When does the program start and how long is it?

This is an online self-paced 8-Week Parenting Class Training with Optional Live Monthly Meetings and Weekly Office Hours. You also have the option to attend our yearly Live 8-Week Series (email for current schedule). After you complete your 8-week Class Series and Instructor Training Modules, you can begin facilitating the classes for others.

There are 3 ways to learn. Listen or Watch the audio/video lessons OR Read the transcripts for most course prep work. The Instructor Training coursework prepares you to facilitate live classes using the Conscious Parenting 8 Lesson Series, Peaceful Solutions for Parents & Kids.

Your registration includes access to my course library and a searchable, time-stamped archive of over 200 parenting support Q&A recordings for at least one year. You will receive immediate access to the courses and the Q&A archive upon registration. The rest of the materials are released weekly.
When does registration close?

Enrollment is accepted on a rolling basis unless we reach capacity for our small team.
I have questions about the live sessions.

Live Support Sessions for parents are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Times rotate through the year. Contact me for the current schedule.
The Office Hours and Meet-Ups are for Parent Educators only - to support your learning and help you prepare to present your classes.

The course program and all trainings are delivered entirely online and can be accessed from anywhere.

You will be provided with access links for any live meetings when you enroll.

All live sessions are recorded for later viewing.

We have Parent Educators in North and South America, Europe, Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, and the only requirement is that you have stable access to high-speed internet and a passion for families and kids.
Will I be automatically be able to facilitate classes at the end of the program?

Yes! You can work as fast or as slowly as you need. Successful completion of the Parenting Class Instructor Program coursework is at your own pace.
Do I need a license to deliver parenting classes?

Yes, you need a current license to present the 8-Lesson Conscious Parenting Course as a Licensed Instructor.* The Teach Through Love Instructor Training program allows you to offer the 8 Lesson Series as a complete trauma-sensitive parent education course (or stream the online recorded lessons in group settings) for at least three years.

Facilitate the lesson exercises using the guided workbook and lesson plans to lead a Q&A parent group through the course.

A current license is required to offer the course. The license is valid for three years and renewable for $97-197.

Facilitate single-topic discussion groups, breakout workshops, or multi-week courses.

There really is no limit to the directions you can go with the materials offered in this program.

*Certified Parent Educators have lifetime access to the Online Course Library, Monthly Q&A Calls, and Meet-Ups/Webinars.
Do I have to become a certified educator or can I remain a Licensed Instructor?

Instructors can join a certification cohort if they choose to continue their Teach Through Love training and education, or they can remain as Licensed Instructors. Many educators do this, especially if they have other licensing certifications or professional credentials.

Being a certified parent educator allows you to deepen your practice and study of the concepts to support your clients with a more personalized and thorough level of service using our full curriculum and includes lifetime access (no licensing renewal for materials).

What can I do as a Teach Through Love Parenting Class Instructor?

The training prepares you to facilitate in-person or online classes with a ready-to-use curriculum and time-tested process.

We believe the course is best offered in group settings where parents can share their experiences and foster relationships within the community. However the course can be adapted and facilitated in 1:1 sessions.

There are so many opportunities to bring the principles of conscious parenting into the world. With a current license, you can work locally within your community or online for up to one year. Hold group support sessions and use the Workbook to facilitate discussions with or without streaming the videos. These are just a few examples of how you can work as a parenting class facilitator.

Please note - I cannot provide personal job assistance or partnerships or offer business, legal, or marketing advice. However, because I no longer work privately with parents, I am continually referring people to our Teach Community.

Can I charge for my parenting classes?

Yes! As a Parenting Class Instructor, you may charge attendees. Many trainees begin by offering free classes, but this is dependent on your personal experience. Your license permits you to have up to 250 students per year. But extended licenses are available if you're really rockin' it in your community, or working with a nonprofit (no limit)!

Many Facilitators choose a per couple rate or offer sliding scale rates depending on the needs of their community. What you charge is based on many factors, including how you structure your classes (length) and where you offer them (online or in person).

Many Instructors will connect with family service agencies or local schools and offer the classes for a flat rate. It's up to you!
What is the cost of the program?

The tuition for the training and 3 year license is $1497. This limited-time special is $697. There is a payment plan option.

Please consider carefully whether this is the right program for you. No refunds will be granted once your registration is complete. In the case of unexpected emergencies, you may pause your license for a limited time.
To enroll in a certification group and continue your training, the tuition is $5997.

Founder & Child Advocate Lori Petro

Lori Petro is the founder of Teach Through Love and the creator of the Conscious Communication Cards. She holds a Bachelors in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a certification in trauma-informed parent education. While on her own healing journey, she founded Teach Through Love as a vehicle to support parents and provide a new framework for communicating with kids.
